Full description

After 80 years of design and manufacture of any kinds of standard capacitors, any possible voltages and capacitances, Vettiner proposes today the widest range of high voltage standard capacitors on the world market.

CS range, applied to "test objects" of large capacitances must be perfectly carried out within the framework of Vettiner knowledge and know how. Electrodes of CS range are made with the special assembly of metallic multiplates and their surface with quantites allows to reach the expected final capacitance value.An insulating gas under pressure (mostly SF6 under 5 bars) allows the reduction of the space between electrodes.

This type of capacitors is specially used by industries manufacturing HV equipments with high capacitances (Manufacturers or repairers of turning machines, manufacturers of power capacitors or HV cables mainly), but also by National Institutes of Metrology or by private laboratories.
They are also used for smaller capacitances applications for HV ranges between 5 & 15 kV where it doesn't exist any alternative technologie (For exemple with bulb electrodes under SF6 (CG range) or under air (CA range).

The same standard capacitors can be used also as the high voltage part of HV capacitive dividers thanks to an associated or separated low voltage foot capacitor.
They can be used also as coupling capacitances for partial discharges measurements on a large scale of application on HV equipments (cf. IEC 60 270)<br /> It is also possible to associate to these standard capacitors (for limited high voltages) variable Tan delta standard.
